Custard Trifles & Mango
A delicious weekend
dessert
Ingredients:
Fresh custard 225ml. Canned sliced mangoes in syrup 900gm.
Plain Sponge cake 150gm. Double cream 225ml.
Whipped cream 100gm. Fresh mango slices (mango 3 to 4)
Amaretti biscuit one packet (small
sized) Crushed
Method
Cut the cake into small
pieces and use to line five individual dessert bowls. Place the
mango slices in a food processor and whizz
until smooth.
Whisk the double cream until softy peaked.
Spoon the mango puree
and fresh custard on top of the sponge cake in each of the dessert
bowls. Chill dessert
until ready to serve.
Top each dessert with
cream, a few slices of mango and sprinkle over some
amaretti biscuit.
It’s ready, you can decorate
it with mint leaves.
