Crispy-fried beef fritters
So tasty and crispy
Ingredients
Beef
pieces tenderloin 1 piece Union 1
tablespoon chopped
Ginger
fresh 1 tablespoon Chicken powder ½ teaspoon
Vinegar 1 tablespoon sesame oil 3 teaspoon
Egg 1
All-purpose flour 1/2
cup Vegetable oil 1 cup
Salt 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon
Method
Cut the beef across the grain into 1 inch slice. Place in a
bowl and add the onion, ginger, chicken powder, vinegar and 2 teaspoon of
the sesame oil. Mix well with the fingertips and set aside to marinate for 40
minute. Break the egg into a bowl and add the flour and cornflower. Blend and
pour the mixture over the beef. Mix well.
Heat
the vegetable oil in a frying pan. When hot, add the beef, piece by piece,
spreading them out. Stir-fry gently over high heat for 2 minutes.
Remove the frying pan from the heat for 1 minute, letting the beef
simmer at the reduced heat. Replace the pan over high heat for 1 minute of
gentle stir-frying. Once again remove the pan from the heat for 1 minute.
Repeat this process once more. This method of intermittent frying prevents the
oil overheating and yet at the same time ensures that the fritters will become
very crispy.
Serve dish, sprinkle with remaining sesame oil. Mix the
salt and black pepper.
