Cauliflower
with Rich Cheese Sauce
A healthy vegetable
dish
Ingredients
Cauliflower 500 g Butter 50 g Plain flour 2 tablespoons
Cheddar cheese 5 tablespoons grated
Milk ½ cup
Paprika ½
teaspoon Chives handful
Method
Cut the cauliflower into florets. Steam until tender.
Melt the butter in a pan. Stir in the flour and cook for 1
minutes. Remove from the heat
and gradually stir in the milk and cream. Return to stove, cook and stir until the Mixture is
reasonably thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheese, add salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon the mixture sauce over the cooked cauliflower and sprinkle
paprika and chives
Over the top.
