Ingredients
Cauliflower 400 gm Butter 5 tablespoon
Plain flour 1/2 cup Milk 1/2 cup
Grated cheddar cheese 4 tablespoons Salt Cream 1/4 cup
Method
Cut the cauliflower into medium florets.Steam until just tender.While the cauliflower is cooking ,make the sauce.Melt the butter in a medium pan.Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute,or until golden and bubbling.Remove from heat and gradually stir in the combined milk and cream.Return to stove and stir continuously over medium heat until the mixture boils and is reasonably thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheese,add salt and pepper to taste.Just before serving,spoon the sauce over the cooked cauliflower and if you wish sprinkle paprika and chives over the top.
